About the Role: Specialist, Government and Corporate Affairs Customer Service

In this critical role, you'll be an integral part of our Corporate Affairs Team within the Government Affairs Division. As a customer service specialist, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our customers, promoting and selling air travel on blithequark, and providing exceptional support to our valued clients. Your expertise will be essential in resolving customer complaints, answering inquiries, and communicating new rules, policies, and procedures that affect our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell air travel on blithequark, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience
  • Prepare itineraries, compute fares, issue refunds, and prepare and issue tickets with accuracy and efficiency
  • Answer inquiries regarding general travel information, resolving customer problems in a mutually beneficial manner
  • Communicate with customers over the phone, researching passenger complaints, advising of cancelled or delayed flights, and providing timely updates
  • Communicate new rules, policies, and procedures that would affect the customer, ensuring that they are well-informed and supported throughout their journey

What You'll Need for Success

To excel in this role, you'll need a combination of education, experience, and skills that demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service, work effectively in a team environment, and adapt to changing situations with ease.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in customer service, sales, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the travel industry

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational, and customer contact skills
  • Knowledge of Native SABRE or similar systems
  • Ability to be resourceful and creative in immediate problem resolution, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative, exercise good judgment, and be dependable in a fast-paced environment
  • Satisfactory attendance required, with a commitment to being punctual and reliable
