Job Overview
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support to ensure their needs are met. Key Responsibilities
- Assist all internal and external customers in a professional manner, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times, even in challenging situations.
- Receive requests from multiple sources (phone, fax, e-Commerce, in-person) and complete the necessary processes for equipment services.
- Coordinate home equipment service requests with Dispatch for prompt delivery, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up.
- Engage in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information and diffusing angry customers, as needed.
- Provide customers with product and service information, ensuring they have the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.
- Maintain current knowledge on Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources for equipment, staying up-to-date on industry developments and changes.
- Verify medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follow policy and work instructions to ensure the Billing Department has the correct paperwork to complete insurance, maintaining efficient and effective processes.
- Understand and strive to meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Make sales or recommendations for products or services that may complement client needs, as applicable, identifying opportunities to add value and drive growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and needs.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable you to provide exceptional customer service and support. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), with a strong foundation in communication and customer service principles.
- 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and resolving complex issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Customer service orientation, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and support to internal and external customers.
- Attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process requests, verify information, and maintain accurate records.
- Good data entry skills, with the ability to efficiently and accurately enter information into our systems and databases.
- Proficiency with computers, with strong typing skills and the ability to navigate multiple software applications and systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests, and maintain a high level of productivity.
