**Job Summary**
As a Data Analyst at blithequark, you will be responsible for applying advanced analytical techniques to drive business decisions and optimize our content portfolio. You will work closely with our content team to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform our content strategy. Your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization will enable you to communicate complex findings to stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Apply advanced analytical techniques (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, AI) to large-scale, high-dimensional data to inform business decisions
* Analyze client behavior (e.g., viewing patterns, engagement metrics) to identify untapped client needs and untapped content opportunities
* Develop predictive models to forecast content engagement and inform procurement decisions
* Streamline our content launch and episode release process to optimize engagement and retention
* Test marketing strategies to optimize engagement and retention
* Ideate and develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance and inform strategic decisions
* Provide ad-hoc analysis support to partners to drive business outcomes
* Effectively communicate complex findings through compelling data storytelling across the organization
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
* At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong background in statistical modeling and data visualization
* Proficiency in SQL and experience with R and Python programming languages
* Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques (e.g., decision trees, regression, clustering)
* Proven ability to work independently and apply creativity to solve complex problems
* Excellent data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
* Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
* Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP)
* Strong understanding of media and entertainment industry trends and challenges
