Key Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to sales and margin objectives in allocated categories through accurate and efficient data entry
- Analyze critical data and integrate findings and recommendations into category plans, including ideal SKU mix, loyalty programs, and special projects
- Drive strategic execution of daily operational activities, such as tracking promotional periods, performing present analysis, and making corrective actions as necessary
- Collaborate with an internal team of blithequark experts in Inventory, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design, Marketing, and Store Operations to achieve business objectives
- Analyze sales records and inventory levels of current stock to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of competitive activity, seeking out new competitive opportunities and making recommendations
- Stay up-to-date with changes in the market, including customer product preferences, supplier costs, and the competitive landscape
- Research customer product preferences, supplier costs, and the competitive environment to inform business decisions
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Working knowledge of retail math concepts and demonstrated application
- Technical expertise in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and some Access or other database knowledge
