Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Data Entry Operator to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Entry Operator, you will be responsible for entering data into computer systems using alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents, following production guidelines and procedures for archival and data capture purposes. Key Responsibilities

  • Keep track of received data and source documents, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry processes.
  • Prepare and sort source documents, identifying and interpreting data to be entered with precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a business-like production environment, minimizing personal communications and distractions to maximize productivity.
  • Compare data entered with source documents, or reenter data in verification format on screen to detect errors and ensure accuracy.
  • Comply, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered, keeping records of work completed on the provided form.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding entered data, correcting knowledge and performance deficiencies when notified of errors to produce an acceptable product.
  • Report to work and meetings on time and prepared, demonstrating a commitment to punctuality and professionalism.
  • Ability to take direction from Production Supervisor, working collaboratively to achieve team goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or GED required, with an Associate's degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field, with a strong foundation in data entry, administrative support, or a related area.
  • Typing speed of at least 45 wpm with a high accuracy level, demonstrating proficiency in using a standard keyboard, mouse, and PC.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Access and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software applications.
