**Role Overview**
As a Customer Retention Representative at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that customers who call in with the intention of canceling their insurance coverage are provided assistance in understanding the importance of keeping their coverage. You'll be a key member of a dedicated, professional team that's passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships with our policyholders.
**Responsibilities**
* Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls with customers who are calling to cancel their insurance coverage and/or place calls to current policyholders regarding coverage, premium due, as well as other policy information.
* Answer questions about policy benefits and premiums and accurately document the information on the appropriate database.
* Provide policy maintenance and assistance to customers to ensure they understand the importance of keeping their coverage.
* Utilize your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and resolve their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
* Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
**Requirements**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
* Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
* Superior customer service skills, with a focus on building strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Proficient use of the computer, keyboard functions, and Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work under pressure and multi-task, with a focus on meeting sales and customer satisfaction goals.
* Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze information and make logical conclusions.
* Ability to type 30 words per minute, with a pre-employment assessment required.
