Job Overview
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in providing top-notch service to our customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving their concerns in a timely and professional manner. You will work directly with pet parents to provide solutions for their pet insurance needs, manage inbound calls and other leads, and optimize sales opportunities to increase policy sales. Your goal will be to deliver a WOW! experience to every customer, every time, and to build strong relationships that drive customer retention and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound email, chat, and phone inquiries from pet parents for the purpose of selling pet insurance policies
- Manage time and other resources to ensure sales goals are met consistently
- Handle all interactions promptly and effectively to minimize wait times
- Build rapport with potential customers to reinforce the value of blithequark's brand and our pet insurance products
- Build strong knowledge of products and services offered
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of sales experience
- Proven attendance reliability
- Flexible schedule requirements, with the ability to work evenings and weekends
- Current active resident property and casualty insurance license (General P&C, NOT Personal Lines) in a minimum of 25 states
- Licenses must remain active throughout the duration of the assignment
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven sales success within an inbound service environment, preferably a direct sales environment
- Insurance industry sales experience
- Service industry and/or Contact Center experience
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with deadlines
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and phone communication skills
- Excellent tracking, follow-up, negotiating, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to consistently overcome objections
- Articulate, professional, and possesses a strong quality sales mindset with attention to detail
- Proven history of adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Strong computer background using MS Word, Excel, and Internet
