About the Role

As a Property and Casualty Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in our team, fielding inbound communication from our clients' members regarding their insurance needs. This is not a sales-based role, and there is no cold calling involved. Your primary focus will be on providing excellent customer service, utilizing your knowledge of personal lines insurance to help members with quotes, new business, rating, policy, billing, payment, underwriting, contract, and coverage provisions, and premium changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize knowledge of personal lines insurance to help members with quotes, new business, rating, policy, billing, payment, underwriting, contract, and coverage provisions, and premium changes
  • Thoroughly understand the customer's need, asking clarifying questions to gather more information, and utilize resources to conduct research and present the customer with a resolution
  • Understand members' life events that may offer sales cues and correspond with customers, clients, insurance carriers, and internal sources to provide coverage information and policy recommendations
  • Execute various client service transactions, including policy endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations, or other tasks
  • Adhere to performance metrics and quality standards, ensuring that all interactions with clients' members are professional, courteous, and efficient

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess an active Resident Property and Casualty or Personal Lines License, as well as a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience and 1 year of call center experience. A High School diploma or GED is required, and veterans and their family members are encouraged to apply.

  • Internet and research skills, with the ability to quickly become an expert in a variety of subjects
  • Computer savvy, with the ability to resolve minor technical issues with minimal assistance
  • Typing speed of 25 words per minute with 90% accuracy
  • Ability to critically think through situations and solutions, with a self-motivated and independent approach to work
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, and at times, hectic environment, while maintaining a professional attitude
