Primary Role and Responsibilities

As a Solutions Engineer – Kubernetes Support and Customer Success at blithequark, you will play a critical role in collaborating, guiding, and supporting new and existing customers throughout the full customer life cycle. This includes presale, setup, installation, and ongoing support to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our solutions. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping our customers navigate the intricacies of Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and infrastructure as a code (IaC) practices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with customers to understand their unique needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions and support to ensure their success.
  • Guiding customers through the implementation and deployment of our solutions, including setup, installation, and configuration.
  • Providing ongoing support and maintenance to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of customer interactions, solutions implemented, and knowledge gained to contribute to our collective knowledge base.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Kubernetes, cloud computing, and related technologies to continuously improve our offerings and customer support.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background in engineering and operations, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in systems, software, infrastructure, or related fields. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of experience in supporting external customers, either through solutions engineering, customer success, support, or similar roles.

Technical skills and competencies required for success include:

  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, including design, deployment, and management.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AKS, EKS, GKE, and familiarity with compute, networking, and storage services.
  • Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies.
  • Linux skills, including Bash and Shell, are essential.
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or C are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices.
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant discipline is ideal.

Preferred qualifications include experience working in a remote environment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
