Business Analyst / Visualization Analyst
Synertex LLC is seeking a Business Analyst / Visualization Analyst to support a U.S. Federal Government Agency in McLean, VA, by providing critical support identifying, addressing, and resolving data gaps that impact business functionality. We are expanding work on a current contract and need a Business Analyst / Visualization Analyst for managing data retrieval and analysis, uncovering trends, and developing actionable insights. The analyst ensures a high level of customer satisfaction, which is essential for achieving business objectives and maintaining a strong reputation. This role requires direct engagement with senior government clients to understand mission needs and develop data-driven strategies to enhance the customer experience. This is a hybrid remote position with some on-site requirements that require a candidate to be within reasonable commutable distance to McLean, VA and/or the Pentagon. Responsibilities:
• Solutions-driven senior business analyst with experience leading cross-functional teams in the development, documentation, and delivery of process innovations driving the attainment of business goals.
• Work closely with business users, SMEs, external stakeholders (clients), project managers, accounts managers, end-users, quality assurance, sales and marketing, training, and IT personnel for gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and devising solutions for new and existing technical projects.
• Focuses on understanding government client needs and translating them into data queries and visual dashboards.
• Participated in requirements workshops to identify business needs and requirements.
• Collaborates with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that the data visualizations they produce align with business objectives and support data-driven government objectives.
• Oversees updates to project deliverables including requirements documentation, change control artifacts, traceability matrices.
• Identifies, evaluates, and documents potential data sources in support of project requirements in coordination with the government customer.
• Identifying trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business growth and efficiency.
• Manages high-priority analytics projects and ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Advises senior government officials on data-driven strategies and insights.
• Transforms complex data sets into actionable insights.
• Adept at using Tableau's interactive and shareable dashboards to illustrate trends, patterns, and correlations that might otherwise go unnoticed in raw data.
• Interpret data within a business context, enabling organizations to make informed decisions based on their findings.
• Assists in bridging the gap between data analysis and business strategy, ensuring that data-driven narratives are accessible to stakeholders at all levels.
• When necessary, creates interactive and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports to help provide insights that drive strategic decisions.
• Determine information needs, database relationships, attributes, data flow, storage requirements, and reporting capabilities.
• Provide insight to programmers and analysts to implement changes to database management systems.
Requirements:
Mandatory Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience developing Tableau Data visualization reports and dashboards.
• 5+ Years of experience in business analysis, database design, design quality evaluation, internal & external reporting, project management, UAT, training, and development.
• Bachelor's degree.
Desired Requirements:
• Experience with MS Excel.
• Experience with government acquisitions.
