Summary
We are working on a Sr Marketing Manager role with a top company focused on prestige fragrances. Can come out of any beauty category. Role is based in NYC and they are looking for someone to start ASAP thru Feb for now but could be extended. Full-time hours and 3 days onsite and 2 days remote each week.
Senior Marketing Manager, Marketing - Development
Purpose:
This role will be part of the Fragrances global marketing team, working within the development function. This role will require owning the product development process from concept to launch including marketing research, product testing, and innovation roadmap planning. The focus will be on supporting the Director in driving innovation and global strategy plans to support the fragrance business.
Responsibilities:
Drive Product Innovation and Planning Process
Develop and own Fragrance Product Briefs, Creative Briefs and Creative Campaign Concepts
Work directly with Fragrance Evaluator on Fragrance Development
Drive Product Innovation Calendar from Concept to Execution to ensure on time STT delivery
Partner with Research & Dev, Demand Planning, and Packaging/Sourcing Teams to monitor COGs, support design development and drive global forecast submissions
Lead NPD Insights sharing and innovation pipeline; Research and Recommend Fragrance Category trends to drive brand growth
Drive Global Strategy and Planning
Drive Global Innovation Planning: leading meetings with key global stakeholders
Partner with global markets on local trends and business needs to support development
Partner with Director to maintain and outline the 3–5-year Brand Innovation Plans
Global Campaign Development:
Develop/Own Brand concepting, messaging, and Global Toolkit for all new and core fragrances
Manage Packaging and Formulation Changes to ensure global compliance
Analyze global/competitive market trends to drive global brand innovation strategy
Creative Development & Global Commercial Planning
Create Briefs for global creative campaign developments
Partner with Creative Agency team to drive content creation for new and core products as it relates to the innovation calendar
Own Development process for New Fragrances, Promo & Non-Rev: TOAS, Samples, GWPS, Containers
Work with Finance to ensure Margin compliance
Partner with packaging, creative and operations to produce and deliver on time.
Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of marketing experience is preferred.
Experience in Prestige fragrance, beauty, and/or personal care categories is a plus.
Strong creative, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Essential project management skills with extreme attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and strict adherence to deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally, prioritize tasks, and take initiative.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint).
