Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Manager / Sr. Manager of Consulting who is equal parts strategist, relationship-builder, and executor. You’ll be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of brand and athlete consulting projects, guiding clients through insight-driven strategy, activation planning, and creative execution. The role also requires research and measurement to inform valuations and strategy development. Your role will shape how brands show up in culture, collaborate with athletes, and win attention in an ever-evolving marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Leadership:
Serve as the day-to-day strategic lead across multiple consulting accounts, building trust with clients through deep category knowledge, cultural fluency, and executional excellence.
• Strategy Development:
Lead the creation of brand positioning frameworks, cultural insights decks, go-to-market strategies, and partnership playbooks tailored to clients in sports, lifestyle, wellness, and emerging industries.
• Cultural Intelligence:
Stay ahead of trends across sports, fashion, gaming, health & wellness, and youth culture—translating these into actionable insights and campaign ideas for clients.
• Athlete & Talent Integration:
Identify brand-aligned athlete and influencer partnership opportunities, working cross-functionally with the Talent and Content teams to create authentic collaborations.
• Project Execution:
Oversee the development of campaign assets, social media concepts, live activations, and branded content with internal creatives and external partners.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with internal departments (e.g., Creative, Social, Production, Legal) to ensure consistent delivery across all client workstreams.
• Measurement & Reporting:
Define KPIs and work with analytics teams to measure performance, optimize strategy, and deliver comprehensive recap reports. Interpret data for measurement purposes to inform valuations, negotiations and strategy development.
What We’re Looking For:
• 4–7 years in consulting, brand strategy, or agency account management (sports, lifestyle, or culture-focused preferred)
• Strong understanding of consumer behavior, cultural trends, and brand storytelling
• Experience leading client accounts and managing internal teams or creatives
• Proven ability to turn insights into executable, impactful brand strategies
• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high expectations
• Passion for sports and cultural storytelling—VaynerSports is where brand meets athlete meets culture
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Keynote, PowerPoint, or similar presentation platforms; data visualization is a plus
• The position of Manager or Sr. Manager will be determined based on relevant experience
