[Remote] Neurodevelopmental Coordinator (RBT Experience Preferred)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group focused on improving care for children with special health care needs. The Neurodevelopmental Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the care team to deliver compassionate care to families and children with neurodevelopmental needs, collaborating with clinical professionals and managing patient interactions.
Responsibilities
• Interact with patients and families experiencing neurodevelopmental diagnoses including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder, and Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities.
• Collaborate closely with neurodevelopmental care team members to support program outcomes.
• Assist with clinical procedures, documentation, and care coordination while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each child's visit is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
• Triage incoming phone calls & messages from patients involving clinical inquiries for responsible providers.
• Possess expert knowledge in neurodevelopmental services in order to coordinate and resource external referrals for allied services including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and others.
• Create template-based letters, as directed by the care team members, regarding referrals and other clinical needs to the patient in a timely manner.
• Review schedule daily to ensure that all pre-visit preparations have been completed prior to the patient's visit, ensuring lab and imaging results, consultation reports, care transition details, or major changes in health status are available in the patient’s medical record.
• Initiate completion of forms for review and final signature by provider (disability forms, school notes, referrals for service, home health orders, durable medical equipment and supply requests, disease status letters).
• Assist with scheduling tasks as indicated.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
• High-school level education or equivalency
• Medical Assistant Certification or at least 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting, specifically working with children/adolescents or with patients who have neurodevelopmental diagnoses.
• Spanish fluency required.
• Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification or experience is preferred.
• Additional certifications/training regarding neurodevelopmental diagnoses is preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
