A Day in the Role

As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibility will be to process various medical documents, including Independent Medical Reviews. You will work independently and collaboratively with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion. Your duties will include:

  • Extracting data from medical documents and entering it into our electronic database using Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word
  • Utilizing critical thinking skills to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information
  • Working in a metrics/quota-driven environment, meeting productivity standards, and consistently delivering high-quality results
  • Providing excellent customer service and client coordination over the phone, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring data integrity, and adhering to confidentiality and privacy policies

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of remote work experience, with a proven track record of working independently and managing your time effectively
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, or computer science) is an asset
  • Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment, with a strong understanding of productivity standards and performance metrics
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims is preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, with excellent data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace, with a computer or laptop (no Chromebooks) that meets our technical requirements

Preferred Qualifications
