Job Overview
This is a part-time (20 hours per week) and “At Will” position at blithequark. The Data Entry Operator will report to the Data Manager and work closely with our team of Financial and Career Coaches, as well as regional partners. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to multi-task, team-oriented, and willing to learn how to utilize new data systems. Key Responsibilities
- Gather and enter daily client information from our team of Financial and Career Coaches, and regional partners
- Enter, update, and maintain client information on various database systems, including the State of California Employment Development Department’s CalJOBs database system, Salesforce, and blithequark’s CRM
- Work with staff and partners to ensure that client documentation is collected and information is entered accurately and in a timely manner
- Gather, sort, and verify accuracy of data
- Organize and maintain client paper and electronic files
- Transfer data from paper formats into computer files, database systems, and spreadsheets
- Respond to queries by accessing relevant files and generating reports
- Perform modifications, edits, and deletions to the database based on approved documents
- Comply with data integrity, security policies, and procedures
- Ensure that all client information is kept confidential
- Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively and perform repetitive tasks in a timely manner
- Adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to data entry
- Minimum 1 year of experience in data entry or equivalent training
- Ability to type 40 words per minute (a plus)
- Experience with various word processors and spreadsheets (a plus)
- Familiarity with the CalJobs and Salesforce database system (a plus, but not required)
- Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- High school diploma
- Ability to pass a background check
