Position Overview

The Associate, Customer Acquisition role is a critical component of our sales team, responsible for demonstrating the value and benefits of our products or services to customers, with a primary focus on selling and/or renewing contracts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for effectively articulating the value of our products or services to customers, identifying new sales opportunities, and building strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a dedicated territory and team for your assigned client to achieve your revenue-based quota by selling renewals/services, and identify up-sell opportunities to drive business growth
  • Provide accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts to inform business decisions and optimize sales strategies
  • Develop and maintain mastery of product knowledge and technical understanding of services to assess client requirements and provide tailored solutions
  • Initiate steps to help customer concerns/roadblocks prohibiting satisfaction or product usage, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Manage external competitive pressures and handle objections to retain customers or win new customers, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity
  • Manage a high volume of customer contacts through phone and email each day, with a majority of communication being outbound, and utilize CRM systems to track and analyze customer interactions
  • Collaborate with your team and management to provide a professional experience during all interactions with customers and prospects, and contribute to the development of sales strategies and tactics
  • Maintain the customer management system (CRM) to ensure all relevant data is captured, and utilize data analytics to inform sales decisions and optimize sales performance
  • Undertake sales motions which might include lead qualification, lead conversion, health checks, being the voice of the customer, or renewing contracts, and continuously seek opportunities to improve sales processes and outcomes

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working in a customer service or sales capacity, with a proven track record of success in achieving personal and team sales quota/goals
  • Prior experience in high-volume calling, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Experience learning new technology and data, with a strong ability to adapt to new systems and processes, and a willingness to continuously develop and improve skills and knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively, and excellent knowledge of MS Office programs, with experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Experience or willingness to work from home, with a self-motivated and disciplined approach to work, and a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment, with a strong ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with colleagues and customers in a remote setting
  • Knowledge of sales principles, practices, and techniques, with a strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to apply this knowledge to drive sales outcomes
  • Experience working with data analytics and CRM systems, with a strong ability to analyze data and inform sales decisions, and a willingness to continuously develop and improve skills and knowledge in these areas
  • Strong business acumen, with a strong understanding of business principles and practices, and the ability to apply this knowledge to drive business growth and outcomes
