Job Overview

As an Associate Customer Care Coordinator for Medicare at blithequark, you will be the primary point of contact for our members, providers, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first line of communication for a variety of customers, including existing and potential members, providers, internal departments, and employers
  • Provide detailed benefit quotes and review eligibility and premium information on a broad portfolio of products
  • Assist members in selecting medical homes and primary care physicians, and educate them on the appropriate use of health plan and clinic services
  • Research and respond to claims and authorization inquiries, and maintain knowledge of complex custom networks
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner, and possess a calm demeanor to handle crisis situations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that member needs are met, and contribute to the development of process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a high-pressure customer-facing service environment, with a proven track record of learning and applying complex concepts
  • Experience in healthcare, preferably in a call center, claims, medical billing, insurance verification, or benefits advocacy role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of healthcare principles, including Medicare services and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, software, and technology to manage customer interactions and resolve issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an office setting, preferably in a healthcare environment
