Job Overview
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for creating and applying factual displaying and data science methods to drive ancillary revenue performance. As a key member of the Revenue Management team, you will own the code development of new scientific products and models, and work with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve rapid growth in customer-driven, tailored offers and business processes. Your expertise in data analysis and modeling will help us drive business results and stay ahead of the competition.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver advanced quantitative analyses and multi-feature models to drive navigation and actions, either by experts or by systems
- Leverage big data, capabilities in cloud environments, and multiple sources of data to identify signals and integrate those signals into modeling for interpretation, prediction, or production
- Lead in fulfilling other general analysis requirements
- Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to gain insight into customers' shopping behaviors, their response to blithequark's offers, and how to better address their needs
- Develop modeling hypotheses involving multivariate statistical approaches as well as current AI-based expressive approaches
- Lead the implementation and industrialization of the developed models in the production system, including all stages of the code lifecycle
- Interpret the results of quantitative analysis and multi-feature models and communicate to stakeholders, including senior management
- Work primarily in Python, MS SQL, and other big data environments
- Provide expertise in coding and applied economics across Pricing, Revenue Management, and Ancillary teams
- Create and deliver customer-driven analysis, using cluster analysis, collaborative filtering, and randomized flexibility testing
- Create and maintain code standards, code library, and workflows where industrialized processes are essential
- Participate in peer reviews of scientific designs and code to advance revenue growth
- Assist, mentor, and guide junior colleagues
- Aid in the transition to streaming data for multiple sources
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong educational foundation in a relevant field, such as Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or other systematically centered programs is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Past experience with MS SQL, Python, and other big data technologies
- Past professional use of statistical analysis software is preferred
- Two (2) years of professional data analysis experience is preferred
- Experience in an airline pricing, yield or revenue management, revenue analysis, revenue systems, or similar role is preferred

To excel in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, data modeling, and programming. You should be able to apply concepts from economics and pricing management to coding models and scientific products. You should also be able to communicate complex ideas and insights to senior management and other stakeholders effectively.
