Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter new orders for staff pharmacist review, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer information, including patient profiles and medication lists
  • Generate labels for dispensing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Answer phones and respond to order inquiries, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Clarify orders as needed, ensuring that all instructions are clear and concise
  • Triage incoming faxes, prioritizing urgent orders and ensuring prompt processing

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the OH Board of Pharmacy
  • Previous experience in pharmacy, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • Knowledge of brand names and generic medications, including SIG-Codes and medication interactions
  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Quick typing skills and computer literacy, with knowledge of Frameworks LTC system and PLUS
