A Day in the Role
As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibility will be to process various medical documents, including Independent Medical Reviews. You will work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion. Your duties will include:
- Extracting data from medical documents and entering it into our electronic database via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word
- Handling incoming cases and ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and up-to-date
- Using critical thinking skills to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information
- Working in a metrics/quota-driven environment and meeting productivity standards
- Providing excellent customer service and client coordination over the phone
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least 1 year of remote work experience
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims is preferred
- Reliable high-speed internet and a computer or laptop (no Chromebooks)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
