As a Full Time Remote Customer Service Representative for Emergency Roadside Services, you will be responsible for responding to member requests for emergency road service in a call center environment. Key Responsibilities
- Respond to member requests for emergency road service in a call center environment, providing basic information regarding Emergency Road Service benefits in accordance with our Customer Interaction Model.
- Obtain information regarding the type of service required, including vehicle location, type of problem, and other relevant details.
- Perform geographical location spotting to determine potential service providers and communicate with contractors to provide information regarding member location, vehicle, type of problem, and estimated time of arrival.
- Enter data into our database and document all relevant details, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Notify members of estimated time of arrival and name of contractor, and communicate with contractors if service is not provided within the specified time period.
- Recognize, promote, and process membership sales opportunities, analyzing member accounts to determine additional products and services that benefit the member.
- Provide superior customer service during every member interaction, responding to member needs with empathy and understanding while gathering information and providing solutions to get members back on the road.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of customer service experience, providing customers with professional service and de-escalating situations.
- Ability to accurately input information into various fields using a PC keyboard and navigate through a PC and/or automated processing system.
- Strong communication skills, including telephone etiquette and basic computer skills.
- Ability to operate and navigate a laptop or PC, often using multiple applications, including the Internet, Google Maps, Email, and company applications.
- North American geographical relationships and road condition reporting terminology knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- College-level coursework in Business, Marketing, Geography, or other related fields, and/or applicable professional/technical certification courses.
- Experience in a call center environment, remote work, or customer service environment.
- Promoting products and services, identifying and responding to customer needs through cross-selling and up-selling products.
- Bilingual skills, with fluency in Spanish and English, are a plus.
