Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving any issues they may have.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store environment for customers during their shopping experience, ensuring that all products are properly displayed and easily accessible.
- Help in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transport merchandise from stockroom to sales floor, ensuring that all products are properly stored and handled.
- Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store, ensuring that all products are properly faced and fronted, and that the store is always fully stocked.
- Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system, ensuring that all transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Remain constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, reporting any incidents or concerns to management.
- Perform all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including participating in visual merchandising, store displays, and promotional activities.
Essential Qualifications
- Prefer completion of high school or equivalent, with the ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned.
- Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height, with the ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service at all times.
