Job Overview

This is a full-time opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, engaging with customers and stakeholders to answer questions and provide important information about HUD FHA and reverse mortgages. As a Customer Service Representative II/Mortgage Professional at blithequark, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and support, while also contributing to the growth and success of our organization. Please note that this position is not 100% remote and requires working in person at our call center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to lenders, banking/mortgage institutions, and consumers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of HUD FHA and reverse mortgages, staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends
  • Utilize strong interpersonal and customer service skills to build rapport with customers and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded
  • Effectively navigate computer Customer Relationship Management applications, related websites, and support tools to access and provide information to customers
  • Analyze and solve problems, using sound judgment and decision-making skills to resolve complex issues and escalate as necessary
  • Manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting performance metrics and quality standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve team and organizational goals, contributing to a positive and productive work environment

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of FHA loan origination experience (loan processor, underwriter, loan officer) plus an additional year of customer service or contact center experience, OR at least three years of loan origination experience working with conventional loans and/or other government-backed loans (FHA, USDA, VA)
  • Two - four years of college or equivalent work experience
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Basic PC skills (including MS Office) and the ability to effectively navigate a computer Customer Relationship Management application, related websites, and support tools
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems, using sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting performance metrics and quality standards
  • Ability to type 35 words per minute
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday between 8am to 8pm Eastern Time, based on business needs

  • Mortgage origination experience, with a strong understanding of the mortgage industry and related products and services
