Job Overview
In this critical role, you will provide exceptional telephone support to blithequark members and providers, addressing a wide range of inquiries and concerns. As a Member Service Representative, you will be the face of our organization, embodying our values and mission in every interaction. Your primary responsibilities will include answering inbound calls, responding to questions about benefits, eligibility, services, and prior authorization requirements, and providing personalized support to ensure an outstanding experience for our callers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering incoming member and provider calls and responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs
- Providing accurate and timely information to address member and provider concerns
- Utilizing high-speed internet connectivity with secure service via ethernet cable (note: Wi-Fi is not permitted)
- Participating in comprehensive training programs to develop expertise in blithequark's services and policies
- Meeting performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals to ensure exceptional service delivery
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a remote environment. You should be self-sufficient, able to manage your time efficiently, and maintain a high level of productivity in a home-based setting.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must live within 50 miles of Princeton, NJ, and be able to commute to the office when necessary (in cases of prolonged technical issues)
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form
- Capacity to meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working remotely in a call center setting
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
