Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team, working remotely to deliver exceptional client experiences. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for receiving calls from child support client stakeholders, categorizing calls, recording abusive and/or extraordinary calls, and performing other duties as assigned. Your primary goal will be to provide accurate, valid, and complete information, resolve customer complaints, and offer appropriate solutions and alternatives, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Possess strong oral and written communications skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, using tact, patience, and courtesy to resolve customer complaints and provide support
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information to clients, ensuring that their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded
  • Resolve customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives, and document customer interactions for future reference
  • Thoroughly and efficiently gather customer information, assess, and fulfill customer needs, educating customers where applicable
  • Maintain a general understanding of policies and procedures, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and updates

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, with at least one-year prior experience in an area of customer service, call center, service delivery, or other related fields
  • Must be proficient in data entry skills, including keyboard, mouse, and 10-key pad, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have availability from 7:30am -6:00pm; Monday through Friday, with a private area to work and space to set up equipment and a high-speed internet connection
  • Must reside in one of the following states for consideration: AL, FL, GA, MO, NC, OH, KC, TN, TX, WV

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded:

  • Prior experience working in a remote or call center environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional client experiences
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
