University Prep Schools Lower Elementary Teacher
<strong>What will your role be?<br><br></strong>As a teacher, you will be responsible for implementing curriculum, maintaining a positive classroom culture, using assessments to drive instructional practice, and for contributing to the educational and social development of all students by implementing culturally relevant teaching practices. U Prep teachers use district resources in an efficient and responsible manner and participate in professional development.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Actively participate in professional development opportunities and implements best practices acquired that focuses on instruction and high student achievement.</li><li>Provide instruction that is culturally responsive and culturally sustaining.</li><li>Builds relationships with students to create a positive, structured learning environment where students feel safe, supported and empowered to grow</li><li>Actively engage parents in the learning process and works collaboratively with families</li><li>Use data to refine lesson plans and inform instructional practices<br><br></li></ul><strong>Key Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree and valid Michigan teaching certification with endorsement in content area</li><li>Eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis</li><li>Experience with project-based learning preferred<br><br></li></ul><strong>How do we support you?<br><br></strong><strong>Education<br><br></strong>Our education teams are critical to our ability to serve our scholars well.
