Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Remote Data Entry Specialist to join our team at blithequark. As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, creating, and maintaining data pipelines that our data scientists and experts can rely on. You will be responsible for contributing to an organization layer of complex data transformations, refining raw data from sources into targeted, meaningful data assets for use in a represented manner. You will collaborate with data scientists, investigators, and other stakeholders to solve complex and exciting challenges that help us develop capabilities that grow our retail business model while having a positive impact on our customers' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Transformation and Integration: Concentrate data from recognized databases, create data pipelines, and transform data into a format relevant to the problem by selecting appropriate methods.
  • Data Source Identification: Support the understanding of the need for requirements and service-level agreements, identify the most suitable source for data that is good for purpose, and perform initial data quality checks on extracted data.
  • Data Modeling: Investigate complex data elements, systems, data streams, conditions, and relationships to contribute to applied, physical, and logical data models. Develop the Conceptual Data Model and Physical Data Models, including data warehouse and data mart designs.
  • Code Development and Testing: Write code to develop the necessary solution and application features by determining the appropriate programming language and using business, technical, and data requirements. Create experiments to assess and validate the proposed solution design.
  • Applied Business Acumen: Provide suggestions to business stakeholders to solve complex business problems, create business cases for projects with an extended return on investment or cost savings, and translate business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Data Governance: Establish, modify, and document data governance tasks and recommendations, implement data governance practices in collaboration with business stakeholders and peers, and interpret organizational and regulatory policies on data.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or data science.
  • Proven experience in data entry, information management, and data analysis, with a strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with cloud-based platforms, such as GCP or Azure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop creative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data bricks, NoSQL databases, and messaging platforms, such as Kafka.
  • Knowledge of data migration protocols and experience with integration tools, such as Automic or Windstream.
  • Experience in building highly scalable big data solutions and ETL environments.
  • Certifications in data science, data engineering, or related fields.
