Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Health and Benefits Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers' journey through the healthcare reimbursement system. This challenging yet rewarding position requires partnering closely with customers to provide valuable insights, education, and direction for online support. Your primary objective will be to deliver superior quality experiences, one interaction at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, customer-focused telephonic service using knowledge of procedures and systems to meet and/or exceed member satisfaction while educating constituents on blithequark policies and programs.
  • Consult with members to support easy navigation of available online tools, from checking account balances to submitting claims.
  • Resolve issues without management intervention to remove barriers for members.
  • Develop initial call skills after training and may be cross-trained to other skills on a later date.
  • Protect sensitive member information with discretion.
  • Prioritize effectively to meet member service goals and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Customer Service, with prior call center experience preferred.
  • No degree required, but a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Computer knowledge and skills, with the ability to learn new systems and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of medical/reimbursement terminology preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate and handle member issues without utilizing a supervisor.
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work hours of 10:30 am-7:00 pm CST, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment and Company Culture

At blithequark, we pride ourselves on our dynamic and supportive work environment. As a remote employee, you will need to have a quiet, distraction-free workspace with a reliable internet connection. Our internet speed requirements include:

  • Upload Speed: >20 Mbps
  • Download Speed: >100 Mbps
  • Ability to hardwire an Ethernet cable to the internet modem/router.

We offer a comprehensive training program to ensure your success in this role. Our training class starts on 02/03/2025, and attendance is mandatory during the training period. The training schedule includes:

  • 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET and 10:30 a.m. ET to 7 p.m. ET (subject to change due to business needs)
  • Pacific Time: 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Mountain Time: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Central Time: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Compensation and Benefits
