About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Member/Customer Services Advocate to join our team. As a Remote Member/Customer Services Advocate, you'll have the opportunity to work from home and provide exceptional support to our members, building trust and creating sustainable relationships through open and interactive communication. With a competitive salary of $20 per hour, plus shift premiums available based on scheduled hours, you'll be rewarded for your hard work and dedication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working directly with blithequark members in a fast-paced inbound contact center, providing an outstanding experience and ensuring high satisfaction, growth, and retention.
  • Providing exceptional service to every caller by building trust and creating sustainable relationships through open and interactive communication.
  • Applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills to research and communicate solutions in a variety of situations, ensuring empathetic resolution and keeping records of all interactions and changes.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure thorough and timely resolutions for all members, utilizing available resources to provide accurate information and ensure compliance with communication standards.
  • Confidentially handling policy owner information and ensuring compliance with communication standards are met.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer service-related position, with a high value placed on the customer/member experience; insurance/call center experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated basic mathematical aptitude (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Technical aptitude with experience navigating and operating multiple computer applications and telephone technologies desired.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of life insurance company operations, policies, and procedures, and knowledge of various insurance products preferred.
  • Completion of insurance industry or LOMA coursework preferred.
  • High School Diploma required; some college-level coursework preferred.
  • Must possess internet with a minimum speed of 25MB download and 5MB upload and be able to support a VPN.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a proven ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software and other technology platforms used in customer service environments.
  • Certifications or training in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP).
