Digital Publishing Production Specialist I – Project MUSE

This position demonstrates a firm understanding of production standards, tools, and specifications and uses this knowledge to identify, troubleshoot, and solve routine problems; to resolve Live Agent tickets from various constituents as assigned; and to suggest workflow efficiencies. This position also demonstrates a solid understanding of industry metadata standards and a working knowledge of the production team’s metadata tools and uses these skills to remediate routine metadata errors. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Production. Specific Duties & Responsibilities • Process a set reputed company of book, journal, and other content, some of which is moderately reputed company, with minimal reference to additional resources (including training materials and procedural documentation) and with minimal support from more senior production team members. • Ability to manipulate PDF, XML, and EPUB files. • Identify, troubleshoot, and solve routine problems with files and how they reputed company with the production system. • Resolve Live Agent tickets as assigned. • Remediate routine metadata errors.
