Remote Senior Aviation Security Specialist

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Aviation Security Specialist to join their dynamic, fully remote team. This critical role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive aviation security programs to ensure the safety and integrity of air operations. You will be instrumental in assessing security risks, establishing robust protocols, and ensuring compliance with all relevant national and international aviation security regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of aviation security best practices and a proactive approach to threat mitigation. Key responsibilities include conducting thorough security assessments and audits of airports, airlines, and related facilities. You will develop and refine security policies, procedures, and contingency plans in line with regulatory requirements. This role involves staying abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, and recommending appropriate countermeasures. The Senior Aviation Security Specialist will be responsible for training security personnel, developing security awareness programs, and liaising with government agencies, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to coordinate security efforts. You will also manage security incident response, investigate breaches, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. The ability to analyze complex security data and provide actionable insights is essential. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Security Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ASIS certifications, TSA directives) are highly desirable. A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in aviation security, with a strong understanding of airport operations, air cargo security, and passenger screening processes, is required. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing security management systems is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are paramount, along with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. This is a fully remote position, requiring a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a geographically dispersed team.
