Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a Data Analytics Manager at blithequark, you will be part of our Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty technology Product Analysis team. Your primary responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty technology teams. You will also lead and mentor a team that will collaborate with the Digital Operations Community (DOC) on operational metrics. Your duties will involve interpreting data from various sources, analyzing patterns and trends, and reclassifying it into meaningful information to improve Operational Excellence (OE). Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying application enhancements and establishing metrics for measurement.

  • Develop and maintain strong associations with key teammates in the Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty technology groups
  • Lead and mentor a team that will work collaboratively with the Digital Operations Community (DOC) on operational metrics
  • Interpret data from different sources, analyze patterns and trends, and reclassify it into significant information to improve Operational Excellence (OE)
  • Identify application enhancements and establish metrics for measurement
  • Focus on areas including, but not limited to:
    • Data Visualizations
    • Application performance analysis
    • Error patterns, top factors contributing to errors
    • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: recommendations for performance and greater scalability
    • Modeling and coding of data

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a background in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research) preferred
  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, or a related analytical role
  • 1+ years (3+ years preferred) as a Manager and at least 2 years in a Fortune 500 company
  • Experience building presentations for colleagues and leaders at a MD and VP level and communicating with all levels of management
  • Proven Team Leader, ability to communicate a vision, inspire the team towards that vision, and offer support to achieve it
  • Advanced level BI dashboarding experience (e.g., PowerBI, Tibco Spotfire, etc.) to produce meaningful, rich dashboards
  • Advanced Excel data analysis skills
  • Experience analyzing e-commerce platforms for Web, Mobile Application, Reliability, Demonstrated expertise in handling large datasets and social databases (SQL and Non-SQL)
  • Ability to study/understand business needs, design data/technology metrics that connect business processes with quantifiable platform results, Determine key metric/Objective Settings from teams to large organizations
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, using data to address issues
  • Desire to tackle complex datasets
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple simultaneous tasks with a focus on results
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will make you a stronger candidate:

  • Graduate degree in a scientific field preferred
  • Certifications including Google Data Analysis Professional Certification, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analysis, Enterprise Data Warehouse certifications, Palantir, Client Side performance metrics tools (e.g., Quantum Metrics)
  • Experience with DataDog/AppD/Kibana
  • Experience with Enterprise Monitoring Systems
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Experience with AWS - Redshift, Quicksight, Athena
  • Experience with BigQuery, Quantum Metrics, Akamai
  • Experience with text analysis and machine learning
  • Data Engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Python, Spark, R
  • Continuous integration and delivery using Agile approaches
