Independent Contractor (1099) - Appointment Setter
Are you a results-driven professional with a proven track record in cold calling and securing appointments? We are seeking a motivated, temporary, work-from-home Appointment Setter to connect with auto dealerships across the country.
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.
The Opportunity
Your primary objective will be to cold call general managers at auto dealerships using a provided list and schedule appointments for our sales team. This role requires persistence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to quickly build rapport and navigate gatekeepers.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct outbound cold calls to auto dealerships nationwide from a curated list.
• Engage with general managers to present our value proposition and secure scheduled appointments for our sales representatives.
• Maintain accurate records of calls and appointment outcomes in our tracking system.
• Consistently meet or exceed appointment setting targets.
Compensation & Hours
• Payment: A flat rate of $1,000 for 40 hours of work.
• Performance Bonus: Additional hours/payment are available based on overall performance and/or business needs (in blocks of $1,000 per 40 hours).
• Work Schedule: Your discretion; calls can be made anytime Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM local time. We ideally would like 40 hours of calling completed in 1-3 weeks.
• Duration: Temporary contract position.
Requirements
• Proven Experience: Prior experience in cold calling, telemarketing, or appointment setting is essential, preferably in a B2B environment.
• Remote Setup: Must have a reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, phone, and a quiet, professional home workspace. You will use your own phone to make calls and your own computer to log appointments.
• Industry Knowledge (Plus): Experience or familiarity with the automotive industry is a strong advantage.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-Motivated: The ability to work independently and manage time effectively without direct supervision.
• Goal-Oriented: A drive to meet targets and convert cold calls into qualified appointments.
• Location: Remote position, but must reside locally to the McHenry, IL area.
