As a Customer Advocate, you will be the primary point of contact for 50-70 individuals daily, navigating the complexities of healthcare with empathy, knowledge, and exceptional people skills. About the Role

This full-time position is designed to provide flexibility and work-life balance, with Monday through Friday schedules and 8-hour shifts between 8am and 8pm EST. To ensure your success, we offer an intensive 5-week orientation program, complete with comprehensive training and ongoing support. Our goal is to equip you with the tools and confidence needed to excel in this critical role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing the needs and concerns of patients, families, and healthcare providers with professionalism and empathy.
  • Navigate complex healthcare systems, including primary care physicians, medications, appointments, and benefits, to deliver personalized support and solutions.
  • Utilize excellent listening skills to understand patient needs, identify potential issues, and develop effective solutions that enhance their healthcare experience.
  • Multitask with ease, managing multiple databases and web-based systems while maintaining a high level of customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, share knowledge, and contribute to process improvements that enhance patient outcomes and overall service quality.

Essential Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
  • At least one year of experience in insurance operations or a related field, demonstrating your ability to understand and navigate complex systems.
  • Proficiency in multiple web-based systems and technologies, with a keen eye for detail and ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or insurance experience, with familiarity with medical terminology, benefit plans, and healthcare regulations.
  • A background in social work, behavioral health, or a related field, demonstrating your passion for helping others and making a positive impact.
