You'll work closely with cross-functional partners to define requirements, objectives, and roadmaps, and you'll be responsible for the design and execution phases of software development. You'll also oversee the work of some of the brightest engineers in the industry, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them grow and succeed. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead a team of engineers in the development of complex software projects, making key decisions that impact cross-functional partners * Collaborate with various teams across software, services, and AI/ML to drive innovation and excellence in software development * Engage with external customers to understand their needs and preferences, and to provide technical support and guidance * Contribute to architectural planning, code reviews, and risk assessments to ensure the quality and security of software products * Discuss bugs and technical challenges in-depth with cross-functional teams, and represent your team and technology in meetings * Help define requirements and objectives for cross-functional software projects, and create multi-year roadmaps to guide development * Oversee the work of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them grow and succeed * Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, and make clear decisions based on data rather than intuition **Minimum Qualifications** * Strong understanding of operating systems fundamentals and mobile device support constraints * Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects, managing partnerships while staying hands-on technically * Clear decision-making based on data rather than intuition * Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions * Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, global team, fostering collaboration, and supporting your engineers **Preferred Qualifications** * 2+ years of engineering management experience * Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent * Experience with API development and working with API consumers **Skills and Competencies** * Strong technical skills, with a deep understanding of software development principles and practices * Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of engineers * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners * Ability to make clear decisions based on data rather than intuition * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions * Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, global team, fostering collaboration, and supporting your engineers **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and succeed in their careers.
