Job Title: Senior SAP MM Consultant (S/4HANA) – Contract Opportunity Location: Bay Area, CA (Onsite / Hybrid depending on client need) Type: Consulting / Contract Position Experience: 12+ Years in SAP MM (S/4HANA Mandatory) About the Role We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior SAP MM Consultant who specializes in SAP S/4HANA and advanced Materials Management functionalities. In this consulting role, you will play a critical part in enhancing our manufacturing operations by independently leading the design and implementation of MM strategies. You will collaborate with diverse teams including business stakeholders, supply chain managers, procurement, and IT, ensuring that our MM processes are optimized to meet manufacturing best practices. Key Responsibilities • Lead the comprehensive SAP MM configuration, testing, and deployment within S/4HANA environments. • Enhance and support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes for efficiency. • Expertly configure and troubleshoot Inventory Management (IM), Purchasing, and Material Master. • Deploy advanced MM functionalities such as: • MRP Live • Source List and Quota Arrangement • Subcontracting • Vendor Consignment • Batch Management • Serial Number Management • Release Strategies • Automatic Account Determination • Special Procurement Types • Advanced ATP (if challenging across functions) • Engage with cross-functional SAP teams (PP, SD, QM, FI, WM/EWM) to drive seamless integrations. • Conduct workshops with business users and functional leaders to gather requirements and drive alignment. • Develop detailed functional specifications for RICEFW objects. • Coordinate with development teams for enhancements, testing, and UAT activities. • Facilitate production support, swiftly resolve issues, and promote continuous improvement initiatives. • Create thorough documentation of functional configurations, process flows, test scripts, and SOPs. • Support integration scenarios within a manufacturing context (Shop floor, MES, EWM, Ariba, etc.). Required Experience & Skills • 12+ years of functional experience in SAP MM. • Mandatory: Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA. • Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. • In-depth knowledge of: • Purchasing • Material Master • MRP / MRP Live • Inventory & Warehouse Interfaces • Stock Transport Orders • Vendor Management & Pricing • Subcontracting • Consignment & Third-Party Procurement • Strong competency in writing functional specifications for WRICEF/RICEFW. • Solid understanding of FI-MM and PP-MM integration. • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities. • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight. • Experience supporting global operations is an advantage. Preferred Skills • Experience with Ariba, EWM, or MES integrations. • Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps. • Understanding of manufacturing KPIs & supply chain processes. • Prior consulting experience in the Bay Area is preferred. Location Bay Area, CA - Consultant must be able to work in the Bay Area (onsite or hybrid based on project need).
