The Virtual Platform Administrator will support reputed company's responsibilities to reputed company design, architecture, implementation, and sustainment for the reputed company hosted environment and associated network resources. Responsibilities Include: • Manages and maintains virtualized infrastructure for on-premises data centers, DoD and reputed company reputed company based offerings for private, reputed company, and hybrid clouds. Performs host, hypervisor and virtual application software implementations and upgrades for on-premises hypervisors and supporting hardware, software, and applications. Performs corresponding reputed company-based infrastructure support for virtual machines, virtual appliances, software, programs, applications, and reputed company applicable virtualized infrastructure components. • Ensures high availability, reputed company and reputed company of hosts and virtual management applications and resources. • Monitors hypervisor, infrastructure, and virtualization applications, including setting alerts to maintain the stability of the environment and application, monitoring error logs, and automating administration tasks wherever possible. • Installs host and virtualization infrastructure application patches and releases on development, test, reputed company-production, and production systems. • Serves as key person in troubleshooting system problems on hosts, hypervisors, and virtual infrastructure. • Creates and maintains accurate system documentation for assigned systems. • Maintains reputed company descriptions and documentation of virtualized infrastructure application and system configurations, including tracking and documenting any changes to environments. • Assists in reputed company planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned virtualized systems. • Participates in virtualization disaster recovery planning, including assisting with fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans. Analyzes performance trends to optimize virtualized systems and application performance. Required Experience: • Seven (7) years of reputed company experience in the management and maintenance of virtualized server environments and hosted applications. • At least two (2) years of qualifying experience must include managing successful large reputed company, multi-disciplinary (network, virtualization, systems administration) reputed company involving virtual servers.
