Cloud Engineer Remote Work with AWS/Azure Experience

Job Summary Progressive Technology is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. This is a remote position that will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructures on AWS and Azure platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in cloud technologies and a passion for innovation. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring our cloud environment is scalable, secure, and highly available, enabling seamless operations for our clients. Key Responsibilities • * Design, implement, and manage scalable and highly available cloud architectures using AWS and Azure services. • * Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure the integration of cloud-based solutions in a DevOps environment. • * Develop and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. • * Optimize cloud resource usage, cost management, and performance monitoring. • * Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards in cloud environments. • * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, and security. • * Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members. • * Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends to suggest improvements and innovations. • Required Skills and Qualifications • * Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role with hands-on experience with AWS and Azure. • * Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, including but not limited to AWS EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and Azure services like Virtual Machines, App Services, and Azure Functions. • * Expertise in automating infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager. • * Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. • * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • * Understanding of cloud security best practices and data protection techniques. • * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • * Ability to work independently and in a collaborative remote team environment. • Experience • * A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role. • * Hands-on experience with both AWS and Azure cloud platforms. • * Previous experience with cloud migration, architecture design, and infrastructure optimization. • * Knowledge of cloud-native applications and services, including microservices architectures. • Working Hours • * This is a full-time remote position. • * Flexible working hours to accommodate team collaboration across different time zones. • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • * Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. • * In-depth understanding of networking, security, and cloud storage. • * Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, and Azure Monitor. • * Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot effectively. • * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • * Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with evolving cloud technologies. • Benefits • * Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses. • * Flexible work hours and remote working opportunities. • * Health, dental, and vision insurance. • * 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions. • * Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday leave. • * Professional development opportunities, including certifications and training. • * A collaborative, innovative, and growth-focused work environment. • Why Join At Progressive Technology, we believe in fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
