[Remote] Business Intelligence Consultant | $150k+

Feldspar & Flint LLC is a NYC metro-based Talent Consulting firm that specializes in operational strategy across core business functions. They are seeking a highly skilled BI Consultant to deliver advanced analytics solutions and implement cloud-based BI tools for clients, focusing on translating business needs into actionable analytics. Responsibilities • Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and translate them into BI solutions. • Design and develop semantic layers, reporting structures, and gold-layer data sources for analytics use cases. • Build interactive dashboards and advanced visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, and other BI tools. • Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality and compliance. • Leverage Databricks, AWS, Azure, and exposure to GCP for data processing, transformation, and analytics architecture. • Develop and optimize SQL queries, Python scripts, and automation workflows for data preparation and reporting. • Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and project planning with engagement leads. • Troubleshoot and QA complex dashboards to maintain logical integrity and accuracy. • Contribute to data transformation, trend analysis, and performance optimization initiatives. Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field. • 3–5 years in BI/Analytics roles, with at least 2 years in client-facing consulting environments. • Strong experience with Power BI, Tableau, and data preparation tools (e.g., Alteryx, SQL, PowerQuery). • Hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and exposure to GCP). • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python for data manipulation and automation. • Understanding of data governance, semantic modeling, and reporting best practices. • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and cross-functional teams.
