Copywriter (Contract) Location: Remote (US-based) Contract: 3-6 months | Up to 40 hours per week About Kikoff Kikoff is a high growth consumer fintech startup offering credit-building solutions that are affordable, accessible, and educational. We're growing fast, and we're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Contract Copywriter to help shape the voice of our brand across channels, from Lifecycle to Product Marketing to Paid and beyond. Please include a portfolio of your work. What You'll Do • Write clear, high-coverting copy across a wide range of touchpoints including email, app, website, social, and ads. • Support projects across teams-Lifecycle, Product Marketing, Enterprise, Partnerships, Brand, and Web. • Help define and refine Kikoff's voice and tone to ensure consistency and clarity across channels. • Serve as a compliance steward-ensuring all copy meets regulatory and brand standards. • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, marketers, and product managers to bring ideas to life quickly and effectively. • Pitch, conceptualize and strategize ads for production within budgetary and compliance restraints under tight deadlines. Who You Are • 3-5+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably with B2C brands. • Skilled at translating complex, technical, or financial concepts into approachable, human language. • You know how to write compelling hooks, subject lines, landing pages, and product UI in your sleep - but choose to do it with a cup of coffee (or tea) in hand. • Fast, efficient, and highly organized-you can balance multiple projects and hit deadlines without losing attention to detail. • A self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. • Adaptable-you know how to adjust tone and style to fit different audiences and channels. Bonus Points • Experience in fintech, financial education, or other regulated industries. • Familiarity with compliance review processes. • Strong editorial instincts and a passion for clear, impactful storytelling.
