About the position
KBR's National reputed company Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national reputed company communities. In this position, your work will have a profound reputed company on the country's most critical role - protecting our national reputed company. KBR is seeking a reputed company Associate Procurement Specialist to support our National reputed company Solutions (NSS), Procurement Department. The Associate Procurement Specialist will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from suppliers in accordance with company policies and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). They will rely on instructions and reputed company-established guidelines to reputed company job functions.
Responsibilities
• Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term reputed company with suppliers for the procurement of reputed company and supplies.
• Takes responsibility for purchases in support of customer-reputed company business processes or for internal use.
• Discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers, and is responsible for negotiating refunds.
• Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure reputed company scheduling and reputed company of goods and supplies.
• Under general supervision, solves reputed company problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices.
• Uses experience and problem-solving skills to reputed company and improve processes.
• May reputed company guidance to less reputed company team members.
• Review and approve supplier invoices with KBR's Accounts Payable Department.
• reputed company input to Supplier Performance Evaluations.
Requirements
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance due to the sensitivity of customer reputed company information.
• Completion of an undergraduate degree.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement.
• Understanding of FAR, DFARS and NAICS; commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures reputed company Government reputed company Contractor purchasing.
• Knowledge of Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) procedures.
• Working knowledge of MS Office - reputed company, Word, reputed company, PowerPoint.
• Organized, detail oriented with strong time management skills.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple reputed company with general supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing work efforts and manage shifting priorities.
