As an SEO specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing our home service clients' portfolios for search engines and driving traffic to their websites. You will work closely with our chief strategist and content team to develop and implement effective SEO strategies that align with clients' business objectives, increase brand visibility, and improve user experience. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing search campaigns, providing search thought leadership for website development projects, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO to ensure our company stays ahead of the competition. Responsibilities: Constantly identifying long-term goals for all clients and creating plans to achieve these goals effectively Developing thorough SEO strategies that focus on the client's objectives and opportunities Proactively providing strategic counsel and recommendations to client stakeholders Presenting results, discoveries, and optimizations to clients in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. This includes explaining changes in performance and optimization plans based on results or client requests. Strong public speaking skills and friendliness are a must. Accurately creating, implementing, and managing client performance, demonstrating knowledge of the primary KPIs related to SEO and the impact of SEO on bottom-line KPIs Continually assessing the effectiveness of performance by conducting keyword research, website performance analyses, content gap analysis, competitor analysis, and comprehensive content and technical SEO audits Making decisions for campaign optimizations based on data interpretation and communicating any changes required in services being provided on behalf of client performance. Updating clients and the strategy as needed based on external impacts (i.e., Google Core algorithm updates, changes in client goals, etc.) Developing and implementing link-building strategies Working with the web development team to ensure technical SEO best practices are properly implemented on all client websites Recommending changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords Requirements and skills 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SEO Strong understanding of technical SEO aspects like site architecture, URL structure, crawling, indexing, canonicalization, and page speed optimization On-page SEO knowledge: skilled in optimizing meta tags, header tags, content, internal linking, keyword research, and content optimization Experience in building and managing link-building campaigns Local SEO: experience in optimizing websites for local Experience using Google Analytics and Search Console to track website performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions An understanding of content marketing and its role in SEO Experience in optimizing websites for mobile devices and understanding mobile-first indexing Industry certifications: certifications like Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ), etc. Proven track record of delivering results in terms of increased rankings, traffic, and conversions Experience adapting to algorithm updates and changes in industry best practices Communicate ideas effectively to clients and team members and be able to work collaboratively with other departments like content, web development, and social media Benefits 401(k) with employer matching Health insurance Vision insurance Dental Insurance Life insurance Employee discount Paid time off Remote work Referral program Funding for continuing education A smart and highly capable team that desires colleagues who actively contribute in all aspects of their job Freedom to share ideas, implement change, and improve operations — each individual has an opportunity to add value.
