[Remote] Solutions Architect (contact center + AI) [80592]

Onward Search is seeking a Solutions Architect to support large-scale enterprise technology initiatives within a multi-year transformation program. The role involves integrating and modernizing systems for contact centers and digital experiences, focusing on conversational AI and service operations workflows. Responsibilities • Receive epic and feature assignments, partnering with train architects to establish solution direction • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and technical leads to clarify requirements and refine solution design • Coordinate with domain architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture patterns and cross-domain impacts • Work closely with integration architects to produce solution artifacts including sketches, diagrams, and presentations • Maintain and expand business and systems subject-matter expertise across assigned programs • Apply established architecture patterns or define new patterns when addressing emerging needs • Present solution designs to stakeholders, including architecture teams, infrastructure SMEs, and business partners, for review and approval • Guide design decisions across program initiatives spanning contact-center modernization, digital experience, conversational AI, and workflow transformation • Support the technical execution of SAFe Agile Release Trains by ensuring architectural consistency, clarity, and scalability across features and integrations Skills • Extensive experience in systems integration across complex, enterprise environments • Strong background in architecting and developing large-scale systems using disciplined, rigorous design approaches • Skilled in requirements analysis, estimation, systems design, application design, and testing processes • Proficiency with modern programming languages and frameworks including Java, JavaScript, Node.js, messaging and queuing architectures, and cloud/on-prem infrastructure • Experience with distributed computing, concurrency control, parallelism, and race-condition mitigation • Strong collaboration, influence, and consensus-building skills across product, program, engineering, and stakeholder groups • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present architecture solutions to diverse audiences • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities independently • Proven track record delivering high-quality software solutions using Agile methodologies and working on Agile teams • Experience with SAFe development environments and multi-train program delivery • Familiarity with design patterns and architecture best practices • Experience facilitating stakeholder and partner meetings • Architectural experience with cloud-native platforms, especially AWS and GCP • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including normalization, denormalization, sharding, and data-centric patterns • Background in GenAI and Conversational AI (e.g., RAG frameworks, vector search, embeddings, IBM WatsonX, Google Dialogflow) • Experience designing high-quality, developer-friendly REST APIs • Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, distributed caching, and event-driven architectures • Experience with workflow and case-management tools such as ServiceNow or Salesforce • Familiarity with SAFe software development principles Benefits • Benefits eligible Company Overview • Recruitment and Staffing Services for Digital, Creative, and Marketing Professionals.
