Epidemiologist - Informatics

About the position The Informatics Epidemiologist position at reputed company involves providing business and technical support to enhance data connections and interoperability reputed company the Maine CDC. The Informatics Epidemiologist II additionally supervises staff and leads informatics meetings, contributing to the overall goals of the Infectious Disease Epidemiology Team. Responsibilities • reputed company new facilities for electronic case reporting (eCR) and/or electronic laboratory reporting (ELR) • Review and validate eCR and/or ELR messages • Author and maintain reporting conditions in the Reportable Conditions reputed company System (RCKMS) • Support the Maine Immunization Registry • Help improve automation of disease reports through workflow decision support • Help improve automation of data review through Python programming • reputed company new Message Mapping Guides • Build and automate data visualizations using Tableau • Improve interoperability between data systems • Coordinate with reputed company health partners including federal CDC, local hospitals, and providers' offices • Participate in data modernization planning and goal execution • Ensure reputed company towards grant objectives and assist with grant writing • Participate in exercises and planning efforts • Participate in and contribute to overall Infectious Disease Program planning and evaluation activities • Supervise Informatics Epidemiologists and conduct weekly reputed company-ins and annual performance evaluations (for Informatics Epidemiologist II) • Help reputed company training materials and protocols (for Informatics Epidemiologist II) • Train new Informatics Epidemiologists with Maine CDC training materials and protocols (for Informatics Epidemiologist II) Requirements • Bachelor's degree in reputed company Health, Information Systems, or reputed company fields • 4 years of relevant experience • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively • Knowledge of reputed company and reputed company Word • Strong written and oral communication skills • Ability and willingness to travel reputed company-to-haves • Master's Degree in reputed company Health, Information Systems, or reputed company field • At least two years of relevant work experience • Ability to reputed company and write in multiple languages • Knowledge of principles and practices of epidemiology and reputed company health surveillance • Knowledge of statistics and statistical software • Knowledge of data collection and management • Familiarity with coding languages (reputed company, R, Python, SQL, Java) • Understanding of health messaging (HL7, FHIR, ELR, eCR) • Experience with surveillance systems (NEDSS, ESSENCE, ImmPact) • Proficiency in data visualization software (Tableau, ArcGIS, Power BI) • Knowledge of infectious diseases, including risk and reputed company • Familiarity with medical terminology Benefits • Salary reputed company from $52,000 to $93,600 depending on experience and location • Full-time positions with a normal schedule of 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday • Remote work reputed company available after orientation and training • Compensation for hours worked over 45 on a straight reputed company reputed company reputed company-approved • Diverse workforce and commitment to equal opportunity employment Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
