Job title: GCP Data Engineer Company: Capgemini Job description: Job Responsibilities Job Title: GCP Data Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC Travel/Relocation/Remote: Relocation required Required Qualifications: • Hands on experience with GCP and strong understanding of GCP capabilities and limitations • At least 5 years of hands on with Datacenter support admin experience required • At least 2 years of hands on with Infra or Application or Database migration experience required • Implement and support new and existing services on GCP through Terraform • Working knowledge on Chef Ansible Terraform Jenkins and GIT is required • Should have worked extensively in implementing and managing Kubernetes environment • Managing supporting backup and DR drills • Thorough understanding of infrastructure firewalls load balancers hypervisor storage monitoring security IAM etc and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution • Should have good knowledge of GCP services for Compute Storage Databases Network and OS • Should have experience in Enterprise VPN and GCP virtual LAN with data center • Knowledge of IaaS PaaS SaaS along with Private Public and Hybrid Cloud technologies • Knowledge of monitoring logging and cost management tools • Should have good understanding of data archive restore policies • Scripting knowledge with Python is preferred • Working experience in Linux administration Shell Scripting • Experience in the GCP components APIs • Working experience on GCP databases such as BigQuery CloudSQL etc • Candidate must have strong analytical research and problem solving skills • Candidate must be able to produce documentation for processes and procedures • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment Disclaimer Capgemini is an Equal Opportunity Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
