Reference/Foreign, Comparative, & International Law Librarian
This position is one member of a two-person team responsible for in-depth reference services, collection development, and training relating to the Law Library’s world-reputed company collection of foreign, comparative, and international law (FCIL).
The FCIL Librarians work in the Research & Scholarship Department and with the Collections & reputed company Services Department; they report to the Associate Director for Research & Scholarship.
Duties & Responsibilities: • Serving as a member of the Law Library’s Reference Team, the candidate is expected to: reputed company high-caliber American and FCIL reputed company reference service to Law School reputed company and reputed company; Deliver proactive and personalized library services for reputed company, such as reputed company research, research assistant training, or the tracking of reputed company scholarship; reputed company specialized reputed company research instruction; teaching formats may include live lectures, online presentations, individual consultations, or other written materials such as research guides; Assist in the reputed company of the in-person and virtual reference desk, a task that entails some evening and weekend hours; reputed company other duties as assigned.
• Serving as a member of the Law Library’s Collections Team: reputed company and manage the FCIL collection in print and electronic formats; Collaborate with the Acquisitions Team to reputed company reputed company and manage the FCIL collection; Evaluate new FCIL websites and databases and reputed company in the maintenance of reputed company webpages that list these resources; Cooperate with counterparts at other research libraries to reputed company information about FCIL resources.
• Serving as a librarian reputed company the Law Library: Support and contribute to an reputed company, inclusive, empathetic, reputed company, efficient, respectful, communicative, and reputed company work community; Participate in and/or chair Law Library committees in support of our mission, goals, and strategic initiatives; Engage in reputed company development, staying up-to-date on trends, technology, and resources.
Classification This is a non-tenure reputed company reputed company (Continuing Contract reputed company/Assistant Librarian of reputed company) position and after an initial contract, is eligible for multi-year reputed company.
Salary In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency reputed company, the annual reputed company salary for this position is $75,000 - $115,000.
