Technical Writer (SaaS, Security & DevOps)

Objective We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. As a foundational member of the Technical Writer Charter, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the user experience by crafting comprehensive documentation that supports product functionalities, streamlines onboarding processes, optimizes day-to-day operations, and facilitates product discovery. Profile Overview Client is looking for a seasoned Technical Writer with a strong background in communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences including developers, security analysts, and DevOps engineers. The ideal candidate is a proactive collaborator with experience working across cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, user-friendly documentation. Scope • Commitment:15 hours/week month 1 and then ramp to 30 hours/week • Duration: 6 month contract with possibly of extension Responsibilities • Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation tailored to various audiences, including developers, security analysts, and DevOps engineers. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to gather technical information and insights for documentation creation. • Continuously improve existing documentation and create new materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with product updates and enhancements. • Work proactively to identify opportunities for enhancing product usability, functionality, and user satisfaction through effective documentation strategies. • Contribute to the growth and expansion of the Technical Writing team by sharing expertise, providing mentorship, and participating in recruitment activities. • Collaborate with other teams in Product, Engineering & Marketing to maximize the impact of our educational content and ensure it’s aligned with broader business goals. Skills and Qualifications • CyberSecurity or/and Media experience a HUGE PLUS! • Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a SaaS or technology environment. • Strong understanding of developer tools, security workflows, or DevOps environments. • Excellent written communication skills with attention to clarity and structure. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple documentation projects. • Experience in content strategy, UX writing, or product documentation is a plus.
