Talent Acquisition Specialist (1099 contractor)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated 1099 Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our hiring needs. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, recruiting and assisting with onboarding candidates across all levels of the organization, with a focus on ABA clinical roles (e.g., Registered Behavior Technician/ Behavioral Health Technician, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts). This role ensures that hiring needs are met quickly and effectively while maintaining a strong candidate experience and aligning with compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Talent Pipeline ● Manage full-cycle recruitment for ABA positions (i.e., job posting, interviews/screening, reviewing resumes, reference checks etc) and connecting candidates to HR Specialists for onboarding paperwork. ● Source candidates through job boards, social media, career fairs, universities, and professional networks. ● Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates. ● Conduct initial screening for Admin role, BCBAs and clinical supervisory positions. ● Conduct interviews for BHT/RBT candidates. ● Practice proactive sourcing of candidates. Collaboration and Strategy ● Collaborate with the Clinical Director/CFO, Intake Specialist and HR to forecast hiring needs and staffing priorities. ● Track and report recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, retention rates, source effectiveness etc). ● Support Pillar ABA branding efforts by promoting the organization’s culture and mission. ● Stay current on ABA industry trends and competitive hiring practices. Qualifications: ● 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience; healthcare, education, or ABA industry strongly preferred. ● Familiarity with BHT/RBT and BCBAs clinical roles. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ● Experience with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), HRIS platforms, and sourcing tools.
