[Remote] Tax Accountant - Remote/Philippines (Business Focus)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DHA CPAs is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Tax Accountant to join their remote team as a full-time independent contractor. The role involves supporting clients with their tax compliance and planning requirements, managing a portfolio of business clients, and providing expert advice to optimize tax strategies.
Responsibilities
• Prepare U.S. business income tax returns (Forms 1120S, 1065, 1120, and applicable state returns)
• Assist clients with tax planning to develop effective tax strategies and solutions and reduce tax liabilities through deductions, credits, and incentives.
• Maintain accurate financial records to support filings
• Ensure compliance with individual tax laws and stay current on changes
• Communicate with clients, addressing questions and providing guidance
• Research tax law updates and adjust strategies as needed
• Use tax software and accounting tools to improve efficiency
• Uphold ethical standards, including confidentiality and conflict-of-interest policies
Skills
• Professional or bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of experience in US business tax preparation (1120S, 1120, and 1065)
• Skilled with QuickBooks Online and/or desktop
• Proficient in general bookkeeping practices and maintaining financial accounts
• Stable, high-speed internet and private workspace required
• Familiarity with CCH Axcess Tax and/or CCH Engagement
• CPA, Enrolled Agent, or similar certification
• Experience reviewing business tax returns
