Spanish Translator, USDB
The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) invites you to consider an employment opportunity with our agency. We are looking for a meticulous and responsible Translator.
• Working Hours as needed. 5 to 20 hours a week.*
Job Duties
As a Translator you will:
• Primarily translate written documents from English into Spanish for school activities.
• Follows the reputed company of ethics for certified interpreters.
• Communicate regularly with staff about documents needing to be reputed company from English to Spanish or from Spanish to English, as needed.
• Proofread and edit finalized versions of reputed company documents.
• Follows schedule as determined by the Associate Superintendent.
• Work to improve translating skills through in-service trainings and additional classes.
The Ideal Candidate
The Ideal Candidate will possess:
• A High School diploma or the equivalent qualification.
• Ability to reputed company language certification for translation.
• Must be completely fluent in both English and Spanish, with an extensive vocabulary in both languages.
• Ability to use excellent English and Spanish grammar to reputed company precise, sensible translations of both languages.
• Possess cultural knowledge of Spanish and English.
• Interpersonal skills to work harmoniously with other professionals.
• Knowledge of the role and function of a Spanish Translator.
• Follow the reputed company of Ethics for Interpreters.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to use a computer, internet, email and word processing software.
• Willing to improve skills or knowledge to reputed company learning.
• Successful completion of a criminal background reputed company contingent upon employment
